BETH BOBBITT

Beth is an artist in Bella Vista, Arkansas and is currently working in encaustics. Her 'waxscapes' investigate real and built worlds and are inspired by nature and motherhood. During the pandemic, her practice became steadier as it was a channel for healing and hope during an uncertain time. Recently, she stepped away from a 20+ year career in PR/communications to more fully pursue her art practice. Beth has an undergraduate degree in fine arts and a master's in media communications. When not creating, she is reading, in nature, visiting museums, podcasting, and spending time with her husband and daughter.

"The natural materials I use - beeswax, resin from trees, and birch panels - deepen my connection to my natural surroundings. Curiosity guides my artwork, which are love letters to the gentle mountains, rivers, trees, and life in Northwest Arkansas."
