DUSTIN MILLER
“A true artist is not one who is inspired but one who inspires others." - Salvador Dalí
Dustin Miller grew up in Western Nebraska where he got his interest in art from his father and two brothers who all have careers in the field of art. Dustin received his Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska, and his Masters in Art Education from Missouri State University. After graduating from CSC, Dustin moved to Southwest Missouri where he taught art at Diamond High School for eleven years, Neosho High School for 17 years and is currently an adjunct art instructor for Crowder College. He lives in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with his wife Karin. They have a son, Kobi, and a daughter, Melynn.
Dustin believes that he can use the talent God gave him in art to create the beauty of nature, animals, objects, and people. He believes that he can show God's great creations in different and unique ways using a variety of mediums and that through art he can express his admiration for the world and the people and animals that live in it. He hopes to be an inspiration for his students and other people who have an interest in art. He believes that we are living in a time where people do not seem to appreciate art because of all the entertainment opportunities and technological distractions, so he hopes he can inspire people to become interested in taking the time to really look at and appreciate art.
